I was talking with a friend of mine today and he noticed I was wearing a TAGS
themed Tee-shirt.He said that a very good friend of his
had appeared in one episode of TAGS.When I inquired as to whom,he said Pat
Hingle.Gary's son is
married to Pat Hingles's granddaughter.Gary and his family used to live close
to the Hingle family near Wilmington,NC.
Gary stated that Pat could still recite his lines from TAGS and loved to do it
whenever he met a fan
who requested a line or two.He said that a smile would eminate from Pat's face
whenever TAGS was mentioned.Pat said that his stint
on TAGS was as memorable as any character on any show he had appeared on.Gary
said he was a genuinely nice,caring man.
Gary said he was honored to be on the boat that emptied Pat's ashes into the
ocean near Wilmington
