I was reading the newspaper this weekend, and a headline caught my eye. Bulbs disappearing...... I immediately thought of Barney in his fit of rage exclaiming Snoop, Snoop, Bulb-snatcher! This wasn't about leaving the light on all night, it was about the incadescent bulb being phased out. Supposedly in 2012, 100 Watt Bulbs wil no longer be available. We will have to use more energy efficient lights. So the poor 40-watt bulb of Mrs. Mendlebright's may be endangered by 2015 or something.
That little rant by Barney made we wonder how many other times, he resorted to name-calling. There is of course Citizen's Arrest when he referred to Gomer as "this boob here". When he tried Real Estate, he gave the look that could kill when he cam back into the house and the next day refered to Opie as "that kid of yours" I think he once called Andy "Daddy Long Legs"..but I'll have to have help on that one. It was when Opie as failing Math. What other name calling did Barney do? Did he call The Butter and Egg Man, "the Chicken Coop Casanova?" or was that Andy? What about Mrs. Mendlebright's Suiter? Was the worse thing he said about him "a Guy moves into town..he has no job" They'll come to me, but you all can help. The Untrainer Voice "a Creature" was a memorable name..but we have accredit Mrs. Wiley with that one.
