Talking about Jerry Van Dyke (responding to Ted) Yeah Ted I do agree with you on that, Jerry Van Dyke would make a good replacement for Barney Fife. Of course Don K. Is better at being a clumsy messing up deputy called Barney Fife . In fact in 1 Tags episode called "The Banjo playing deputy" in the 5th season of Tags, Van Dyke played a banjo playing deputy named Jerry that was clumsy like Barney Fife and couldn't do anything right and the banjo player (Jerry Van Dyke) became a temporary deputy for Andy while Barney was on vacation because the banjo player lost his banjo playing show job and so Andy let him be a temporary deputy until Barney returned. He also played a person just like Jerry (banjo playing deputy) on a Gomer Pyle USMC episode In the 4th season called "Gomer and the night club comic". In that he was also a banjo player.
