I've been watching the first season of Gunsmoke. Last night I watched Episode 2, "Hot Spell," in which our Andy's Uncle Ollie (played by James Westerfield) pitted himself against Aunt Bee's Medicine Man, Colonel Harvey (portrayed by John Dehner). I won't tell the outcome of the episode, but I will give the hint that this was several years before either feller appeared on TAGS. BTW, I've heard John Dehner's last name pronounced "Dinner" on both of our Mayberry podcasts, but on all the old-time radio shows I've heard, his name was pronounced DAY-ner.
