Allen Melvin also appeared in one episode of Mayberry RFD where he was a barber. He convinced Emmett Clark to buy a hairpiece because all his hair loss treatments did not work. Emmett bought one and he looked so young it bothered Martha so he ended up not wearing it. Oh what us husbands will sacrifice for our wives.
