Last week,a fellow chapter member and I visited Wally's Front Porch Chapter in
Wilson NC.It is a 2 1/2 hour drive
one way,but worth every mile.We had a covered dish Christmas dinner.Good food
and Mayberry conversation
was had by all in attendance.This was our second consecutive year of
attending.Several of them will be making
plans to attend our chapter soiree here in Laurinburg in early spring.
Their chapter meeting is held in George Boyd's replica of Wally's Garage.The
inside /outside of the building is
something to behold.He has stuff in it TAGS Museum in Mt.Airy would go gaga
over.He has some really serious
collectibles.
Tour buses from far and wide have made the trek to his place.It would really be
worth the trip to his museum.
If you are into antiques,you would hit the motherlode,as he has a large antique
shop near the museum.
He has some really neat tee's for sale which depict his station.You can visit
via the web at www.wallysfillingstation.com.
Do any of you chapter members ever visit other chapter functions?Good
opportunity for TAGS fellowship.
