Do I need a ticket book in my hat? (to keep notes of things I think about
writing into the Digest)

Throughout my week, I encounter different things in life or in some media that
reminds me of our favorite show, and of this Digest. Then, the next time I
sit down at my computer..I suffer CRS---Can't Remember Stuff. Does that ever
happen to you?

A couple that do come to mind from recent encounters are these.

Have see seen the Cannon (camera) commercial with Ron Howard?? I haven't put
it all together yet but he and his Imagine Entertainment are going to put
together a movie about the top pictures.

I have a good story about our Modern Day Ben Weaver, proprietor of the online
Weavers Department store. My boss has a tradition of personally giving a
Christmas gifts to her direct reports. We are a big company all spread out to
different cities so she does this online. Instead of getting us all (6- 8) the
same thing this year (cookies, brownies popcorn etc) she decided to personalize
the gifts. For me she went online looking for something related to the Andy
Griffith Show. Luckily she found Weavers, ordered something and gave my name
and address for the recipient.

Ole Ben wrote her back and told her what a good person I was here on the
Digest. She was shocked that an on-line store would know me by name..and be
able to tell her something about me. Can you imagining sending someone cookies
and the vendor saying " Oh, he/she is a good customer of ours"? She almost
couldn't wait until I got the gift to tell me the story. I also got a nice
note from Ben with the package delivery.

I told her..Well that's just Mayberry..everybody knows everybody else. The
gift? The 50th anniversary DVD set. Luckily I did not have it yet, but ole
Ben would have taken care of things if I did.

Now back to my CRS, (Can't Remember Stuff)

What are the most memorable ( ha ha) cases of forgetfulness on our favorite
show??

Goober got that phone message about spaghetti, the young people's meeting etc
all mixed up..but that wasn't an out-and-out forget...more of confusion. He
didn't show up at the courthouse to cover for Andy..but that all had to do with
Gilley Walkers car. Peggy thought Andy forgot their date..but that was more of
a communications interruption. Virgil forgot to get back on the bus.

Barney forgot to fix up signs a few times..but it seems like he forgot other
important things.

I know there are other occasions..but there it goes again..My CRS. Maybe I
need to keep a ticket book in my hat to write notes on. Help me out.
