Barney forgot where his handcuff keys were on several occasions. Barney forgot to make a trouble check for Juanita. Barney forgot to put his shoes on when he ran out of the courthouse once. Barney often forgot Thelma Lou was his steady when he went out with other girls. Barney couldn't remember if his club meeting was on Thursday night or Friday night. The visiting minister couldn't remember if supper at the Taylor's was at six or six thirty so he came early. Barney and Floyd forgot to put gas in Floyd's car when they went fishing. Andy couldn't remember where his magazine was at the courthouse. Both Barney and Andy forgot the courthouse keys one morning and had to wake up Otis. Everyone at the bank forgot the combination to the safe so they had to make a door to get into the safe. Aunt Bea forgot her lines when practicing her role for the part of Lady Mayberry. Opie forgot his lunch on morning and Aunt Bea had to hollar at him to not forget it. Barney forgot about the school crosssing when waiting for the Esquire Club to call. Aunt Bea forgot to put the meat and other food on the table when she was upset one night at supper. Barney forgot the words to the Premble to the Constitution.
