Seems to me that there was a blurb in a book or interview article one time
wherein Andy said they used the crew as extras whenever they could so the
smiling choir member might've been a non-actor who just couldn't contain his
humorous reaction. I've noticed this in several episodes and most notably
with Andy when they were trying to haul Ernest T. out of Mrs. Wiley's house.
See if you can detect an Andy Griffith grin vs. an Andy Taylor one. Another
example is when Howard is having his swinging party in the bachelor pad and
he smacks Ange on the shoulder while Helen is dancing with Goober or maybe
Emmett. Those are priceless moments when his face changes (that's the actor
of the man or I guess the opposite).
