Paul I checked my album and it's hard to tell. I scanned the cover at a high resolution but the quality of the picture isn't that great so it makes it hard to see any markings. (My copy is in pretty good shape) The best I can tell is that the sole is leather and the heel is rubber. The heel has what looks to be a square or a shield on it with a diagonal line going through it. Maybe some good detective work can be done to figure something out from that.
I remember my Dad wearing these exact same style boots for work during the 60's. I especially remember his pants leg getting caught on the top of the boots just like Andy's does sometimes. They're definitely a short Wellington-style boot.
