In the season six episode "Malcolm at the Crossroads" I am almost positive there is a male mannequin being used as a Mayberry citizen. Right after Malcolm gets hit by the station wagon Andy is talking to him and there are shots of the people standing around watching. In several shots you see a "man" standing across the street. In each shot he is in the exact position and hasn't moved one bit. All the other people are moving about which leads me to think that he was just a mannequin used as a prop for an extra person. It comes very early into the episode. I am not sure if this has been discussed before; but I am wondering if anyone else has noticed this. It seems strange that they would have to do this as there were certainly enough other real people in the scenes. Any thoughts??
