Janet came up with the correct answer. In the 1948 movie "Sitting Pretty"
our very own Thelma Lou played a 16 year old girl who was a babysitter. When
she had the party, she and her boyfriend were dancing exactly the way Gomer and
Mary Grace were dancing. Maybe Thelma Lou taught Gomer to dance. I know for
a fact that Thelma Lou went to a dance with Gomer one time.
