Yes, Private Eyes was filmed at the Biltmore House. That week we had gone to pick up our son & his future wife up from Bob Jones U. and decided to take them to the Builtmore House before continuing on with our journey back home to Indiana. Unbeknownst to us they were filming the Private Eyes movie at the time. Guest to the house were not informed of the filming, but there were sections of the house which we weren't permitted to tour through that day. We did wonder about it but no one enlightened us. As we were going through the pantry area I looked out of one of the windows and saw Don Knotts & Tim Conway sitting out on a patio area. I assume that they were in a rest period as they weren't actually filming at that time. Our son was elated, as those two were his all time favorite actor/comedians. We, of course weren't allowed to meet the actors, but just the sighting was a thrill for us, especially for our son.
