>>>In the episode wherein Barn was
worried about security at the bank, Andy asks him if he recently saw the
movie "G-Men" with Glenn Ford (I think). I cannot find this film listed on
IMBD with Glenn nor under that title. Does anyone know what this refers to?
Could it have been another Glenn Ford film in which he played a govt
employee? I'm stumped.<<<

Aunt Bee, I'm sure this was not an actual film but a made-up title for a
supposed Glenn Ford film. I guess the writers wanted to create a certain image
in the mind of the viewer that would go along with Barney acting all "policed."
And they used Barney's line, "Now what are your official countermeasures in
the event of a 10-12?" as though it were a quote from the movie. The title
"G-Men" may sound familiar to you because it is the title of an actual James
Cagney movie from the 1930's.
