I'm a few days behind on the digest but wanted to add to the comments about the great Earl Scruggs. I was luck enough to see him in concert about 6 years ago. Even in his 80's he hadn't lost a thing. About a year after that, my wife and I took a 5 day trip to Nashville. While touring the Country Music Hall of Fame, they had one whole room set aside as a tribute to Earl Scruggs. There was a quote on the wall from another great banjo picker named Bella Fleck that I have always remembered, he said, "No matter what any of the rest of us do, we're all just trying to be like Earl". To me that was quite a tribute. Harry in Salem, VA P.S. My favorite Earl Scruggs quote from one of his appearances on The Beverly Hillbillies when Lester Flatt was talking about Granny's fine vittals, "Me too, Lester, me too". I use that one quite often. _______________________________________________ WBMUTBB mailing list [email protected] http://www.mayberry.com/tagsrwc/wbmutbb/
