Gail, first off, I'm very sorry to hear about your loss. I know firsthand how
it feels to live through a tornado, and I lost a large portion of my Mayberry
stuff to the Joplin tornado last May.

As for the value of the Hawthorne buildings, I've seen the Mayberry Courthouse
go for $400 on eBay (several years ago), but in the current economy prices are
down everywhere on nearly all collectibles. I would say $50-$60 each would be a
reasonable value for the Hawthorne buildings, and about $30-$40 each for all of
the accessory sets. If you can find completed auctions, or a website that has
them for sale, you could print them out and show those to the insurance
adjuster and that will be a big help.

For insurance purposes it's very hard to put a dollar figure on some types of
collectibles. In one room I had about 40 or 50 framed photos of various cast
members, all personally autographed to me. I had obtained all but one or two of
the autographs in person, and many of the stars have since passed away. There
is no way to get replacements for stuff like that.
