I guess most people would agree that Andy was one of the smartest citizens
of Mayberry. Aunt Bea even remarked one time that Andy was the valedictorian
of his senior class.But I did notice one mistake Andy made. When he and
Barney were singing a hymn, Barney asked Andy the name of the hymn. Andy
replied "Sinners Lose All Their Guilty Stains". Actually, believe it or not,
the name of that hymn is "Praise For The Fountain Opened". Almost everyone I
know thinks the title is "There Is A Fountain". But at any rate, Andy was
100% completely wrong. Can anyone think of another time when Andy said
something that was in error? Orville Hendricks - The Butter and Egg Man. I
thought I made a mistake one time, but I was wrong.
