I just watched 'Opie's Hobo Friend" and most of it was believable up to the point where Mr. Browne (Buddy Ebsen) gets arrested by Barney for stealing Aunt Bee's purse. 1. Andy said Aunt Bee threw the purse into the trash. 2. If she threw it away wouldn't she have removed all the contents 3. Would't or shouldn't Barney have opened it to see if there was any Identification. 4. If Aunt Bee threw it away and it was empty how would Barney know it was hers 5. In a town the size of Mayberry wouldn't it have been possible for more than one lady to have the same kind of purse or very similiar. 6. And if it was empty an unidentifiable how would Andy know it was hers... Just wondering....I watch a lot of Matlock...so I know how to ask questions and investigate.
