My wife and I had a wonderful time this morning in Eau Claire's annual Memorial Day Parade. Several thousand people came out to watch it. Linda drove the Gold Star Mothers in our convertible and I did the Mayberry Guru in the squad car. It was so funny as a band was right behind me and they kept playing "Stars and Stripes Forever". If I would have had my cymbals with me I would have hopped out of the car and marched along with them even though I didn't have my marching shoes on. As usual the car was a huge hit with a lot of applause along the way, People really like it when the siren goes. I even had a congressman stop and chat about it and had quite a few photo ops. The unit ahead of me was the Eau Claire Police Department Honor Guard.
