Hey, Gollywobbler, I really never thought about your question until you asked.
But then I sat down and thought (without a bucket) for quite a spell.
Knowing everything I know and have read, my feeling is that Andy probably does
not read the Mayberry Digest, or anything else connected with TAGS. I
believe that Andy has put TAGS behind him, and he has moved on, and does not
care to re-visit it ever again. Part of my reasoning is that I have heard
people say that when Andy is in town, he is friendly and will speak to people,
but does not want to speak of TAGS. Further, Andy will not attend any TAGS
related event. You know he must think of TAGS quite a bit, and think of all
the people in it, but I believe he has put that in the past. In my mind,
TAGS to Andy is like a parent that has had a child die. The parent keeps
pictures of the child, and thinks of the child daily, but does not want to
discuss the child with strangers. Anyway that is my opinion. Orville
