Ken it is absolutely terrific that you can share Mayberry with so many. It has even brought lost friends back! Yes the bullets case should point downward. But it is a minor issue that does not detract from enjoying time with Barney. Besides, not only did Barney have a sensitive trigger he was probably famous for dropping bullets and Andy would have insisted on Barney wearing then up. Speed loaders, a cylinder with 6 slots and a spring where you line the bullets with the cylinder of the pistol, would have been a preferable choice for Barney in case he was ever pinned down in a shootout.
