If you just can’t get enough of Mayberry, please plan now to make a
pre-Mayberry Days stop at “Life Lessons From Mayberry: It’s All There in
Black and White” in Ridgecrest, N.C. (right outside Asheville). This
three-day Bible study event starts at 3 pm on Tuesday, 9/25 and ends at
noon on Thursday, 9/27, so you can head right on up to Mt. Airy for
Mayberry Days. You’ll enjoy five breakout sessions—each showing and
discussing a popular black and white episode; it’s soooo much fun to watch
these in a big crowd! Following the episode is a Bible study on the truths
and parables gleaned from that episode.

Tuesday and Wednesday nights and Thursday morning you’ll attend warm,
wonderful worship services with great hymn singing, bluegrass music, and
powerful preaching. (And get this: Pastor Craig Hamlin, our event preacher,
was born in Mt. Airy and his great-grandmother babysat Andy Griffith.)
Following worship both nights will be a fun bluegrass concert, one
featuring Dobro legend LeRoy “Mack” McNees (“Mayberry on Record” and
“Quiet Sam.”).

Dinners are served family style and include g-o-o-d home cooking (last year
for example: meatloaf, fried apples, mac and cheese, green beans, rolls,
pecan pie, iced tea). Wednesday lunch is a boxed picnic lunch.

Look for plenty of photo ops with WBMUTBB?’s Tom Rusk’s Mayberry Squad car
and “The Mayberry Deputy”—David Browning. “Such goin’s on, such goin’s on.”

Individuals and groups are welcome. Find out more and register at
