My thoughts of the past few days have been a mix of happy and sad--however I am smiling and pleased tell you a story---my son's family has a dog named Rafe---11 years old--they are all Mayberry fans!!! Rafe died suddenly the day after Andy's passing. My dear daughter-in-law told me that she thinks that God decided that Rafe needed to be up in Heaven with Andy!!!!! I blinked back some tears and just smiled!!! So now my grandkids are thinking up new names for the next dog they will get. At the top of their list is "Goober" or "Fife"!!!!!!!! God Bless Andy Griffith and all the cast for giving us such a gift as Mayberry.
