I received some good news today and some bad news. Bad news is that a good friend and classmate from high school passed away suddenly yesterday. I have some wonderful memories of him. Another reminder of my own mortality. The good news is The Mayberry Guru and Squad Car won first prize at the big parade we took part in last weekend. They will be sending me a nice plaque. I think it was handing out all those citations for tattoos that did the trick. When I cite them for that I always ask if they have ever seen anyone in Mayberry with a tattoo and the answer is always no. I have a presentation to give next Thursday at a senior citizen apartment complex for an annual event they have. No parades for a few weeks no so the car can get a rest.
