Thinking about the movie The Ghost and Mr. Chicken brings back a memory of
when our daughter, Jeanie, was dating her future husband, Gary. Not long
before their wedding we were watching the movie in our living room, and
Gary was really getting a real 'hoot' out of it. He especially enjoyed the
"atta boy Luther" part. Everytime he heard that line he'd crack up
laughing. Around the time when Gary and Jeanie's wedding date was drawing
nearer, someone told our song director at the church how Gary had reacted
to the 'Luther' line in that movie. Then at the time of the weding, when
the couple had just been pronounced man and wife and the bride and groom
were kissing, the song director yelled at the top of his lungs, "Atta Boy
Gary"! As the newly married couple walked down the isle they were both
laughing....along with all the wedding guests! Sweet memories!!
