This morning's first episode was Class Reunion; that's a special one for me.
For some unknown reason, my family didn't watch TAGS so I wasn't introduced
to the fine folks of Mayberry until some time in 1974 when the tiny town I
was living in as a young adult finally got cable. I had been watching all
the episodes daily on TBS. The day I saw this episode, I just cried and
cried cuz I didn't know Barn and Thel would get together eventually. When my
boyfriend came over later that evening he found me still distraught. I
explained and his response was that yes it's heartbreaking to lose the one
you love by not speaking up. Then he proposed! So my tears became twofold -
both sadness and joy all at once. When I see that rerun it reminds me of how
that first viewing began decades of happiness with me and my beloved. He is
in Heaven now and I hope going fishing with Andy!!
