The New Andy Griffith Show followed Headmaster. In it, Andy played Andy Sawyer, Acting Mayor of another small town in North Carolina. Lee Merryweather played his wife. Barney, Goober, and Emmett even made an appearance as old friends. This was a great show that, like Headmaster, didn't last. I only hope that it will be released on DVD or someone will post the episodes on YouTube.
