I just can't imagine Opie Hopper, Cousin Bradford Hopper, Grandpa Seth Hopper, or worse yet Bee Hopper. She would sound like a giant insect
There were enough unusual names in Mayberry without adding yet another. Kuddos to the writers for coming up with Taylor. Who knows, if they would have stuck with Hopper, maybe Barney would have been Barney Fike.
