This week on ebay, one can purchase a photo of Andy Griffith from the film A Face in the Crowd for the bargain price of only $49,995 (+ $14.95 shipping). A few weeks ago someone was offering a chair purported to be the one Don Knotts used on the courthouse set for $20,000; apparently there were no takers because now the price has been lowered to $15,999. Also being offered this week is a trumpet allegedly used in the Mayberry Band (it must be real because it has a tag attached to it "proving" it was used on The Show).
The other day I mentioned that I was selling a few Mayberry items on ebay (comic books and TV Guides), and some folks have asked for help in finding them. If you ever want to see the items offered by a particular seller, you can click "Advanced" to the right of the blue "search" box and this will bring up some new choices on the left side, one of which is "find items by seller." Then you can type in the name of the seller you're interested in.
