When I watch TAGS, I see all the things that were in the small town that I grew
up in. One screen movie, small downtown grocery store, small department
store.But I got to thinking the other day that there was something I had never
seen in Mayberry that there is in almost any small town.During the whole 8
years run of TAGS, I do not remember ever seeing any kind of car lot in
Mayberry.No used car lot, no new car dealership, nothing.Now a town would have
to be pretty small to not even have at least 1 car lot, maybe a used car lot.
Orville Hendricks - The Butter and Egg Man in Mt. Pilot. I bought my first
car off a used car lot here in town. I gave the man $100 cash money for a
1954 Chevrolet.
