We had a local deputy resign because he used the squad car for hauling scrap metal to the scrap yard. That makes me wonder about Andy and Barney taking the squad car for dates and personal use. Letting Uncle Ollie take it fishing or showing Nora and Ollie around town. Andy didn't have another car. Although, the first show, he had a pick-up truck. (Not recommended for double dates.)
