One of our very own Mayberrians tied the knot on Thursday.Jeff Branch(Howard
Sprague) married the lovely
Tammy Sullivan.Tammy's son,Jamie,has portrayed Opie for probably 15-16 years.I
am sure quite a few of you
have seen him at various Mayberry venues.He now looks like Ritchie Cunningham.
I was honored to be an usher and my wife a server.Phil Fox(Ernest T. Bass) was
the photographer.He looks
a lot different in a suit and tie...he was almost presentable.Ms. Wiley would
have been proud.
The "Old Fishing Hole" was played at the end of the ceremony.They are now on
the Mayberry Cruise along
with other tribute artists plus other celebrities.
If you see them at a Mayberry event,say hi and offer congratulations.It was
about time he cut loose from his
mother's apron strings.

It's funny when my wife gives me the "silent treatment"...she thinks it's a
punishment.
