Curt, I admit I have no idea which episode this was. But my question is WHY would they do it in the first place? Would it have been just an accident, or did the editors do it on purpose for some bizarre reason?

I noticed it first by observing that something just didn't look accurate with the Mayberry landscape, and upon further (DVD) review, found concrete evidence that the film had actually been flipped to it's mirror-image side, during editing I'm sure.
