I recently got a new BlackBerry but it wasn't set up properly, so I stopped by the cell phone store, and as the young woman who worked there fiddled with it, I noticed that she had "blonde streaks right out of bottle" in her hair. You're not going to believe this, but her name was -- you guessed it. Sue Grigsby, well Susan, actually. I asked her if she knew there was a character on The Andy Griffith Show who shared her name, and she was unaware of the fact. Anyway, we chatted a bit, and it turns out her grandfather or maybe great-grandfather was the late Bill Grigsby, who was something of a legend in this part of the country. In the 1950s he was the announcer for the Joplin Miners baseball team (Mickey Mantle played for them), and then for 45 years he was announcer for the Kansas City Chiefs. But I digress.
