> What ever would the Times? puzzle constructors do without ?Opie??
Crossword puzzles always love answers that consist of more vowels than
consonants. Opie appears quite frequently in puzzles published by Tampa Bay
Times (three different syndications). I always get a nice little chuckle when I
find the clue "Mayberry's favorite son". Aunt Bee is another popular answer (4
vowels, three consonants). Andy (even number of each) and Barney (even number
also) are popular as well since Y is conisdered a vowel. Mayberry is
everywhere......those who are not fans should accept it and embrace its aura!!!
That's my philosophy and I'm sticking to it.
Harriet, the chicken thief, hiding out in Kelsey's Woods, USA
......"Johnny Paul Jason says chewing tar is good for your teeth"..."That's an
old wives tale"...."Johnny Paul ain't married"........
