I am not able to get on here too often so knowing the conversation concerning the Christmas episodes looks to be over I'd like to add some thoughts. It appears most agree that the producers or whoever didn't do Christmas episodes b/c they didn't want them re-run in the summer...So let's take a closer look at this thing..In Season 2 "The Jinx" aired on 1/29..I come from a fishing community and I've never known fishing tournaments to be held in January..."The Pickle Story" evolved around a county fair but was aired 12/18...How many county fairs are held in NC in December ? "Barney's Sidecar" aired on 1/27.. Again not many motorcycles are out in January. "Andy and Helen Have Their Day" aired on 12/14...Supposedly they were on a picnic in the middle of December...Kind of stretching the picnic season...The point is..if it was ok to air these episodes out of season, what would be so wrong showing a Christmas re-run in July. Another thing is that a lot of stations ran Christmas Specials in December, TAGS was pre-empted in two seasons in December, possibly for this reason...Then there was the expense of special props that would only be used once..Money wasn't thrown around back then like it is today...I would guess there might have been one or two actors on TAGS who didn't earn as much in a season as some earn for one episode today....there are other thoughts but these are reasons I don't see the fear of running a Christmas show out of season as a viable reason for only a few Christmas episodes..and only one for TAGS.
