Our cable system introduced the TiVo type box to our home recently. The thing
is amazing. You can fast forward, rewind, and stop action a show while it is
being broadcast.I said all that to say all this. I was watching "The Perfect
Female" yesterday, and I got interested in the scene out at the skeet shooting
contest. So I rewound the scene, then paused it, and make it go forward real
slow so I could see everyone out at the skeet shoot. The first thing I
noticed was that there was a large bus in the rear of the shooting. I am
quite sure that is the bus that all the extras were transported to the site on.
I counted somewhere between 15-20 extras. There were all sort, young, old,
male, female. I even spotted Nice Dress Nellie. There was only one other
extra besides Andy and Karen who had on a shooting vest. I guess all the
other shooters took theirs off. I got to thinking, wouldn't you have liked to
rode on that bus out to the shooting site? Having a conversation with all of
those Mayberry folk? You could have asked Nice Dress Nellie what Mr. Schwump's
name was. And I hear they provided a free box lunch as well. Orville
Hendricks - Mount Pilot Butter and Egg Man. Aint it amazing what a retired
man with time on his hands will do?
