In several episodes I noticed some unusual knocking on a door before going in. First one I recall is when Andy is taking the man from the film company around Mayberry. First I don't know why he took him to meet Orville the undertaker as Orville was at the meeting when the man spoke to the council. Anyway, Andy knocked on the door and Orville came to the door. Seemed rather unusual as Orville had the business of TV repair too and it was right on Main Street. Folks don't usually knock on the door of a business to go in. Second time I noticed it was in the color episode when Goober had a crush on Flora from the diner. He and Andy called in an order and Flora delivered it. When she came she knocked on the door of the courthouse and Andy told her to come in. That too really seemed unusual. Often wondered why the writers had them do that.
