This weekend TCM broadcast the very first talking movie, The Jazz Singer.
While I was watching it, about 1/3 of the way through the movie, Al Jolson
broke into the song "Toot Toot Tootsie". I said to Martha, "That man must
have gotten into Dr. Harvey's
