As a stand up comic who gets paid good money to entertain by telling jokes, and a member of the Christian Comedy Association, as with most comics it pains me when someone tells a jjoke that is not one they conceived, and fails to give credit as to who they may have heard it from, or where they might have read it.... We in the comedy business are very careful not to use other comics material without permission and if it is something we read or heard we are careful to reveal that as well whether or not we name to source...Several of the jokes I've read on here are very old jokes that have been around for a long time and can even be found on the internet, yet no one seems to say, "I heard a joke", or "I read a joke"...etc...they seem to leave the impression the joke is one they conceived....my closing remark is If you are going to tell a joke or funny story "Give Credit, where credit is due" Comedians work hard developing their material and deserve to be honored for their work....
