It's physics....whether the string is stretched to the outside or pulled 
towards the inside, pressure is on....and it will engage the shutter. Distance 
is distance no matter the direction, in or out. If it created slack, the door 
would have to swing UP like the doors on a Lamborghini. In other words, remove 
the door knob and lift it UP, that's the only way it would cause slack.
