Hello All There was an essay posted recently about Andy's role in Face In The Crowd. As a child, daddy took mama and me to the drive in movies regularly. John Wayne in Alamo was something to behold. But, at 4, seeing Andy in Face In The Crowd impresses me to this day. It was powerful how someone can change when fame hits them and they ate no longer a Face In The Crowd. And the spiral downward of the character. Even then I understood it was a story. We went to see No Time For Sergeants many times but Face In The Crowd once. Andy was an awesome and capable actor. He was often underestimated as an actor. What impressed me most about the essay was the effect the role had on Andy. And it makes sense why he loved Manteo and his solitude so much. I am so glad he touched all our lives and why we remember him and keep his memory alive. Sande Riggs President At The Crossroads Chapter
