Mike was talking about Mayberry foods....let's not forget Hoot Owl Pie. On another food note, I was watching Those Gossiping Men this morning. When Wilburn Finch first appears, he comes into the drug store for a root beer. Aunt Bee and Emma are sitting there having coffee and what appears to be lunch. Don't know of any other instance where you could get anything at the drug store except soda fountain items.
I also looked up Jack Finch who played shoe salesman extraordinaire, Wilbur Finch. IMDB only lists a total of 12 career appearances. I wonder what his story is? Stage actor, part-time actor, moved behind the camera in some capacity, sold cars?
