I just received my July issue of Learn a Month Magazine and this month is
all about strange facts about animals. Some of the interesting things I
learned are:
The eyes of donkeys are placed in such a way that they can see all four
feet at the same time
Slugs have four noses, but none of them are visible.
A cow can be led upstairs, but it can't be brought downstairs. ( Wonder
if that is only true if someone is riding the cow.)
If a drop of liquor is put on the scorpion, it will sting himself to
death. ( Good thing the scorpions didn't go near Otis.
Bats unmistakably turn left when exiting a cave. A brown bat can catch
around 1,200 mosquito-sized insects in just an hour.( Something Barney
should know if he ever goes back into the cave )
A lion can mate up to 50 times in one day. ( I would love to hear Andy
explain this one to Opie.)
Well folks, as you can see, that 35 cent magazine was worth every penny I
spent.
