I am reading "Signs and Wonders", one of the Harmony novels by Quaker
minister Philip Gulley. One of the men in the town of Harmony has an old
convertible that his wife insists needs to go out of the garage so she can
park her car there. He has no place to put it so he comes up with an idea.
He takes the car apart piece by piece and then reassembles it in the attic
above the garage.

Now I ask you. Who would ever believe that someone in a small town could
ever do that?
