Here's a bit of trivia and history too for those not subscribed to the eBullet...
Barney's motorcycle is featured in this issue... I learned that it could not have been in WW1 with Al, Burt Stevens and the Milo boys because it is a mint green 1927 JD Harley Davidson motorcycle. The Motorcycle and sidecar also appeared in one episode of "The Waltons" stunt man Jerry Brutsche was Don Knotts stunt double in the "Barney's Sidecar" episode and for most of his career. The motorcycle completely restored as it looked in the episode which aired Jan. 27, 1964 is now on display in Rusty's Buffalo Smokehouse BBQ in Salida, Colo....That's a long ways from the streets of Mayberry. maybe it's not important but I thought you ought to know.
