I'm watching "Man in the Middle" from season five, and I just noticed
something. There's a scene where Barney is picking Andy up in the squad car in
front of Andy's house, and Andy tries to patch things up with Barney over the
argument they had concerning Thelma Lou and Helen. They sit in the squad car
and talk with the doors closed. However, when the camera moves in tighter,
it's apparent that it is shooting through an open door, not through the window
of a closed door. If you look carefully, you can see the inside edges of the
door frame, and on Barney's side, you can even see a little bit of the open
door in the top left corner. So, when the camera is on Barney's side, his door
is open and Andy's is closed, and when it's on Andy's side, his door is open
and Barney's is closed. But, of course, the viewer is supposed to think that
both doors are closed the whole time. It's a very minor thing, but I just
never noticed it before now, and I'm always excited to notice something n
 ew on TAGS.
