"All God's children have uvulas!" What a delightful, kind way to get rid of Barney's bad singing in the choir. Andy kindly rigged up a "Way yonder" powerful silent mic so all Barn had to do was whisper the words while Glenn Cripe boomed out "balmy and bright" from the back row. Two of Andy's nurse friends also wore gloves. Mary wore black ones. Peggy wore white. In the 50's and 60's we all wore white gloves to church. Occasionally we had the boldness to wear a colored pair that matched our suits or purses that hung on our wrists.
