The spaghetti that Mrs. Sprague served to Andy was the meal I had in mind. She specifically told Howard "thank goodness we have plenty of leftovers" when Andy dropped in unexpectedly.
Another time was when Opie and His Merry Men took food to Weary Willie the hobo. One of them (Howie, I think) gave him some turkey, saying "only half, because we ate the rest." The "pot luck" meal that Aunt Bee served Colonel Harvey may or not have included leftovers. When I think of pot luck I think of church suppers, and I can't imagine that anybody would ever bring leftovers to one of those, but you never know. "Raiding the icebox" (in Barney Hosts a Summit Meeting) does not count, because I specified that someone SERVED the leftovers.
