I would like to take this opportunity to wish all my Digest friends a very
Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year. For the past 365 days I
have again been blessed by being able to enter out little corner of
Mayberry and share laughs and tears with all you great folks. It is indeed
a blessing to have the Digest out there for all of us to enjoy.

We have a wonderful blanket of snow here in Wisconsin so our Christmas will
indeed be white. Our bird feeders are full of hungry little birds each day
as they seek food during the winter season. I think this morning I
actually saw a left footed red crested near sighted lake loon eating some
of my sunflower seeds. It was a sight to behold.

We are off in a few minutes to finish our shopping. I will probably stop
for a hamburger for lunch. Which brings me to my question of the day.
"Did Scrooge eat humbugers?" And instead of worrying about bed bugs, did
he worry about hum bugs? and finally, if he would have been born in
Germany instead of England, would he have lived in a city called Humburg?

Merry Christmas and God Bless us everyone.
